Grill cloth, How do I attach?
Anyone have any experience with this? I have a 1"x1", square frame for a cab I built. Should I glue the grill cloth with the glue I used for the tolex? A flooring adhesive from the hardware store. Or use Gorrilla glue? Staple and glue? What about getting it tight, is that a concern?

1" x 1" is tiny!
![]() I've seen them just wrapped around the back and stapled, or glued and stapled. Getting it somewhat tight is good, but you want the texture/grain/pattern to be nice and even (horizontally parallel with the tops and bottom, for example) if the cloth has an obvious pattern.

Would a problem arise from using 1"x1". Its a hardwood from Home depot. I used it for the cab framing. It's rugged and doesn't warp. Fairly light as well at 1"x1". The pieces are true straight and holds screws better than soft wood.

I'm sure you mean 1 foot by 1 foot, not 1 inch by 1 inch, right?
Stapling is how I've always done it.

Pick up a staple gun and get to squeezing off a few rounds! The way I like it is to leave a flap up top that wraps over to the back of the baffle, but the sides stay flush just on the sides. Make sure to leave enough material attached at the corners so you can do a wraparound there as well so your corners are completely covered by your grillecloth. Since the sides aren't deep enough for vertical stapling, and horizontal stapling always leaves flab on top and bottom of the staple, I like to do diagonal stapling on the sides with horizontal stapling only at the corners where the extra material is folded over.

I just did one (thanks Mike80
) and all I did was lay it over and staple then pull it tight. I used a hammer to make the staples flush.
