This has got to be the smoothest sounding pedal of any you've demo-ed ..
And there has been some really great ones ...
But this definitely has got a mojo about it .. there's something really special about this one ...

Just wish it wasn't so ugly ... I mean it's really ugly ...

This comes in two versions doesn't it .... A double switch and single switch right..
(Is the single switch one without that ugly, snarling Geek looking up at ya ...:-)

Oh .. and you just smoke playing this pedal Jack ..
Sounds like there's no resistance and it just allows you to flow ....(true sign of a great pedal ...)

Thanks for the sound clips! I have a single switch Geek screamer 808, and it's an excellent pedal. The guy GeekMacDaddy who makes them is extremely cool and helpful also. I had a small problem once with a faulty selector switch on mine, and he fixed it for me and shipped it back very quickly. The live video on my band "the Rulers" website is a Bogner XTC set on the blue channel, with the Geek screamer for the guitar solo.

Are both pedals based on the same circuits ...?
(I'm assuming thus sence they are both called Geek-Screamers...
or is that just the brand name ...?)

I think that both pedals are the same, except for the enclosure. The big one doesn't have a second switch; it has the same controls as the smaller one.

GeekMacDaddy is the maker. He uses BYOC boards and higher quality components than the BYOC kits.

That's a great sounding clip. With slight eq adjustment on the amp, it would sound like a perfect Dumble ODS to my ears. Very transparent overall with great low end growl and touch response. From the website, seems like he cares about quality too. Now I don't have to wait forever for a Zendrive or pay $45,000 for a Dumble. FWIW, I love the looks. Looks like one crazy Mofo havin a blast. Just makes me want to smile like a kid. That's what I want to be doing using his pedal. Isn't that what its all about?!?!?!?

Nice description of the way the pedal sounds to my ears too...
Would say it's even smoother sounding then my Zen was,
and even smoother then my GSR (that's what really intrigues me ..._

And well, if you look at the pedals graphics from a kid's perspective...
it does look like those magazines I used to save my coins for about Monster movies ....:-)
And yes, in that way it's creepy cool
(note: Ugly/scary can equal fun ...)

Thanks for the kind words, all. The switch goes between the stock 808 setting (.047uf) and a beefier setting (.22) which works real nice with strats an PAF's.

I've had a personalized Geek Screamer for about a year now. Jeff (Geek) personalized one for me and put a dedication (name) in the graphic. Great guy to do business with and the pedal kills!
