Fender Bandmaster Reverb

any thoughts or opinions on this amp would be welcomed.

also ballpark figures on price for a head and cab.

Is it like a super reverb or what?

Great amps. The output transformers are the most often mentioned limitation. Breaks-up kinda fast but that can be a good thing. Pop in a David Allen output tranny to get the headroom and bottom end and the ability to run both 4 and 8 ohm loads. Usually under in the $500+ rage for a cherry one.

I have a '69 Bandmaster reverb, and its a great amp. I had thought about changing out the output transformer, but I like it as is. They are pretty similar in sound to a super reverb with a different output transformer. Nice amp if you want reverb in a fender head as most fender amp heads do not have reverb....

I know a couple guys who own those. They sound real nice. Typical Fender. Sort of like a Super Reverb in a head.
