Boycotting EHX in regards to Micro Synth customer service

The Saga continues...

So this is what EHX emailed me back today...

"Hello. Sorry but the second trim pot is a myth.
All the Microsynths do not taper the note gradually. They cut off as they
are not true synthesizers but emulators.
Regards,"

hmmm....

Do I begin a boycott of EHX???

What is the backstory on this?

EDIT just read your older post. Sounds like you are calling for a boycott because a pedal doesn't do what you want after a new redesign. Welcome to the world of reissue pedals. There are always changes. You cant call for a boycott of a company because of something like that.

I don't have a dog in this fight but doesn't TGP rules prohibit discussions of this type?

back history... oh boy its a long story.

I've posted several threads thats a good starting point.

But basically the new Micro synth has a sustain problem where it only keeps the note for about 4 to 5 seconds. Opposed to the 10 to 11 seconds of the old ones. I paid top dollar to get the new one and they (EHX) seem to be not willing to help.

People will read of all the new features (true by pass, better sound, smaller box) and buy it not knowing that it kills the note your playing so abruptly, in the middle of bends ect. the old one would actually just hang on to the note until you could possibly not do anything with it.

thats the short and quick of it.

All you'd probably need to do to solve this problem is to raise the input signal with a booster, or even better, a compressor.

Try it, and see if it helps. You might be amazed.

I've tried everything boost and all. I own an old one, which of course has its flaws to (namely it colors your sound way to much).

stupidest thread ever?

I just read a thread where a guy wants to know how many guitars he should buy before he gets married....

now thats a stupid thread, but sorry you waisted your time reading this thread.

ok if you replace EXH with (insert boutique builders name here) in the thread title, this thread would be pulled. Doesn't this violate the "deals gone bad rule" or some stupid thing?

but yea it sounds like the pedal doesn't do what you want it to do. Not ehx's fault. Most of their xo/nano line has been a letdown imo.
