Please give complete info on the gear!
When posting a clip in this section, please include exactly what gear was used and, if possible, the settings you used to obtain the sound you were getting in the clip. This would help people understand the total package better.

Absolutely!!
And just my opinion, but I think the gear should all be listed in the thread title. Anything else could just go to the member soundclips area, otherwise, what's the point. Just my opinion, though.

I understand this respectful request, but if we divulge everything, then we get no posts from anyone inquiring (free bump), then our response (free bump 2). This is particularly necessary when there are those of us who don't post clips of $2,000+ amps w/$250 plus pedals, w/$2000 plus guitars, etc . . . It really seems that it is those type of boooooteeeek threads which generate posts for the most part, so us lower end gear slobs have to resort to these tactics

It's not about wether it's more expensive guitars / amps / pedals ... but simply for the access to the same sound for those who may happen to have the same equipment , who may not have the same experience with that rig . Perhaps it's a new acquisition .We all learn throughout our musical lifetime ALL the time. Pass it along , Share the knowledge !
You grow , we all grow !! |
