Digitech Jamman Questions?

I just got my Digitech Jamman Looper in today and so far I just LOVE it! It really isn't that hard to learn how to use it. However, I am not sure as to where in the pedal chain I should put it? If I put it before the amp (last on my pedal board) then I have to stay on a clean channel. I am not sure where else to place it?

Here is my basic setup (not individual pedals)...guitar>pedalboard>Fender VCXD>VCXD Line Out>Behringer GMX210 Slave In

I tried putting it between the line out of the VCXD and the Slave In of the GMX210 but then The VCXD speaker is still on...as opposed to only the GMX210 speakers are heard.

I hope this all makes sense?

Thanks

all (or some) of your dirt is coming from the amp?

Then I'd see if it can handle being in your FX Loop. Ideally, a looper is placed dead last in the chain

Which means AFTER the amp correct? I don't have an effects loop on the VCXD. The only thing I could do is run it to the effects loop on my mixer. That way the dirt won't touch the signal.

You want all your dirt to go into the looper. This way, you can play a clean solo over a dirty rhythm, or vice versa. As you probably know, putting the looper before the dirt means you can only play clean over clean, or dirty over dirty. And the dirty over dirty sounds like crap (when set up in this manner)!

Put the looper last. It's fine if the dirt touches the looper. In fact, it's preferable.

Thanks Moe for the help!

Anyone else that has the Jamman that can offer any tips? This pedal is a must have pedal (or any other looper of your flavor!)

Thanks

I have one, and I use it for practicing or coming up with song ideas. I put it last in my chain of pedals.

Last in the chain, the only thing to put after it, is a booster. Some booster's if cranked up on the gain can overload the JamMan, depending where you have the input level set.

I put my Jamman after everything but reverb so that the tails don't get chopped off between phrases.
