Amp Head Covers: What do you use?

HEy ya'll, I've got a bit of an issue. I've been gigging a lot lately with my Bumbox Cielo head which is just wonderful to me, but I continue to have issues with parts and switches breaking on it in the truck/van during transit to the shows. I need a solid cover that will prevent such things from taking place. I've had to replace the power switch on the head for the second time in a few months now, and well, I'm just tired of it. Should I just go with a roadcase and call it a day? If so, what companies do ya'll use that offer a reasonable price and will do custom sizes. The Cielo is a little odd shaped, more like an old Traynor Bassmaster or something, so I'll have to custom order I guess.

If I am just going to put a head in the back seat of a car, I just use a Studio Slips padded cover (that also covers the bottom of the amp).

If I ever need to transport it where it could bump against other equipment, only an ATA case will do for me.

Here's a cheap alternative.........go to your local outlet mall and find a retailer who sells padded duffle bags. I use one of these for my crate stealth head which is 30" wide.

I've just ordered a cover from this firm ...Australian ...

http://www.customcovers.com.au/amp_covers.html

a lot lighter than a case...but not necessarily heavy bump proof. SKB is probably the lightest. Gator also make a range...If you go the solid road case style the lightest option is a sandwich plastic - not as heavy as as plywood.

I had Tuki and Studio Slips and I prefer the Studio Slips. Susan is great to work with and the covers top notch. The Studio Slips are more flexible and can be folded up at the gig when you're playing. I had a Tuki for my '66 Super and it was like having another super onstage because it holds its form so well when empty.

I'm gonna try these soon:

http://www.ampcovers.co.uk/

They look nice and tough to me as the covers are padded with 6mm foam. They also say that the material they are using is also used for cars.
Seems that not a lot of people over here have tried these as there was no response after I've asked for experiences with these covers a couple of weeks ago.

FWIW, I used http://www.undercovernyc.com/ for my amp covers. Quality is great, price was right, delivery was pretty much on time. Good stuff.

Are Studio slips the only company who offer the accessory pocket?

Studio Slips all the way. Just got my Pro Junior cover the other day, and it's fantastic. Fits perfectly, looks great, and protects the mighty PJ from quick trips in the back seat of my car without losing all the tweed.

I had a Studio Slips clamshell head cover for my old Dr. Z RX ES which was great. I had it made with the accessory pocket for carrying around the power cable and the speaker cable. Susan really does a great job with these.
