Smile "The Gear Page" hot set

Hi Tomo,
I received the hot set last week as well as the AYGP that I ordered
from Amazon. Wow!! Thanks for all the training materials! It felt
like Christmas in July.
I've had a chance to listened to some of the cd's during my commute
and have thoroughly enjoyed them. I've also watched AGYP and Tone
Merchant and found a tremendous amount of material I want to work on.
The great thing about your dvd's is that this material would benefit a
guitarist at almost any level. What a deal!! They're also very
well produced. Since my current primary interests are the ear
training and slap guitar I started there first.
Thanks again! BTW, if you ever offer online classes let me know.

Great! That's fast! You're welcome and thanks for your passion. Hope my package will serve you better.

Thank you so much for your kind words. I put a lot of lesson material for you. Those will keep you busy for long time.

First watch my dvds.. a few times and don't try all exs.. pick what you like and focus on less stuff first.. then you can add more ...(watch out 'balance")

Great to hear... Ear Training section will help you as strong player later.. enjoy "slap guitar" material.

Thank you! I am very busy with my tape-lessons right now. I will let you know when I can offer online classes.

Thanks again.

Tomo

<<I got my package really quickly, so that was awesome. I haven't had the time to check it out until now. It is really good stuff! Can't wait to dig in. Thanks a lot Tomo. I have ordered the AYGP dvd's as well.>>

<<Hi Tomo,

I just started practicing with the Hot Set. The Tone Merchant Clinic is worth the price alone. The other materials make it even better.

Thanks>>

<<Tomo, I just had a chance to go through the Hot Set and it looks fantastic! Sooo much material to go through. I'll be spending a while on this. Thanks for a great product!>>

<<Wow, received the Hot Set yesterday and there is a LOT of bang for your buck in this set. I am going to be busy for a long time with all of this material.

Thanks Tomo!>>

<<Tomo, I just got the set today, and all I have to say is,..WOW! That is ALOT of material for the money. I wasn't able to start practicing yet, but I did listen to both of your CD's, and they were stellar. Very inspiring, and great for listening to in the car.
I'll let you know how I make out with the TM Clinic dvd as soon as possible.
Mike>>

<<I got my hot set today. A lot of great material and superb DVDs/CDs for your listening/viewing pleasure!!!

I can recommend this to anyone! A+++!>>

<<Hi Tomo!

I got my TM DVD yesterday with all extra lesson material.
And I absolutely love it, already watched it two times! Haven't watched the Solo Performance DVD yet, but thats the goal today! I bet there's much stuff I can learn from your playing on that one.
Every lesson helped me out and so much more things made sense to me.
You're a great teacher!
AYGP and MAYGP incoming!

Have a lovely week,
Joakim>>

<<Tomo,

Finally had a chance to view/listen to everything. So awesome. I have much work a head of me. Thank you so much. All the best wishes.>>

<<My Hot Set came today. Wow Tomo you really have packed a lot in there, I can't wait to get started on it all.

Thanks so much>>

<<Wow, that's a lot of material. Thanks, Tomo!

- Mike>>

<<Tomo,
You are the man!!! Recieved everything in 2 days. You really went out of your way to make a great package. Thank you.
Steve B.>>

<<got my package last Friday in Germany, very quickly with loads of material. Tomo, thanks for being so helpful and sending it so quickly!>>

<<just got my hot set in the mail! I love it! I am listening to the cd's now (crossing from put on your funk face!) as i type this! Alot of great teaching material and dvd/cds to enjoy and learn from for a long time! thanks tomo!>>

<<Tomo
I got the set on Friday. Thanks for the fast delivery. I have been watching the Tone Merchant DVD without playing...just trying to absorb. Can you please give me some guidence as to where to begin. You mentioned that you are always getting better and it struck a nerve for me. I have been playing alot while watching TV (noodling around).

I am also open to any ideas from the othe gear pagers and how they approach the lessons.

Thanks
Monte>>

<<Tomo, also wanted to send out a thank you on my Hot Set list package that arrived on Thursday. Very impressed with the amount and quality of material. As others have said, this material will take years to work thru, which is exactly what I was looking for.

As for Monte's question, I'm somewhat in the same boat. Trying to digest while trying to figure out where to start. I was forced to listen since I was away from my guitars for 3 days after the Hot Set arrived. I have put all the material in a notebook and plan on using dividers or post its to label different sections that match up with the Tone Merchant dvd. I also have all the cd's in my car to listen to during my commute.

I would be interested in hearing how others have approached working on this material. In the meantime, I'm following your suggestion, Tomo; working on visualizing and playing major triads in all positions.>>

<<Hi Tomo!

Remember me?
Got some of your lesson material and The Tone Merchants DVD about 2 months ago.
I've been working on this lately, and it is amazing. Really love the chromatic exercises, the reading exercises and the slap and funk/rhythm stuff.
On the DVD the stuff that really have helped me lately is:

Lesson #1 "Good clean technique"
Lesson #2 "R37 Swing groove and soloing"
Lesson #3 "Play same notes on different positions"
Lesson #5 "Play over chord changes"
Lesson: #6 "Triads over song"
Lesson #8 "Twinkle Twinkle more feel"
Lesson #10 "Jazz & Blues, Slow Blues"
Lesson: #12" Slap guitar/Walking bass line"
Lesson #19 "Can you hear the colors and sing?"
Lesson #20 "How to use a metoronome"

I'm still watching these over and over and try to play what you play and get inspiration from you.

I'd love you to hear me play some day when I got my recording equipment home!

Take Care,
Joakim Roos>>

<<I recently recieved the Hot Set from Tomo and I must say there is a ton of stuff in there. Make sure you take the time to give him your player profile info he asks for. I told him my favorite guitar players and albums and he threw in a bunch of extra lead sheets in the styles of some of the players I mentioned. Super Cool. There is easily enough material to keep me busy for a very long time. It is definitely worth the price. If you can't attend Berklee, this must be the next best thing.
Thanks Tomo!! It is very cool that you share your abilities with all of us.>>

<<I have received the Hot Set in a month ago..there are tons of materials that will keep you busy for quite a long time

I really like the way that Tomo teach Triad...It really helps me understanding the guitar fretboard>>

<<Got it today, wow lots of great looking stuff! This will keep me busy for a while. I listened to you cd "Put on your funk face" in the car on the way home from work, great stuff.

Thanks again Tomo!>>

<<Tomo, the Hot Set arrived today. Thanks for the great communication and incredibly fast shipping time. I will be digging into the materials starting today and will give you an update on my progress in the near future.

Thanks again.>>

<<Thanks Tomo! Recieved my Hot Set this morning. Holy Moly there is lots of material. Rolling up my sleeves and hitting the woodshed. See you all in a couple years.

Mark Z>>

<<Well add me to the list; I started work on the Tone Merchant clinic last night, and I'm floored. As a long time hack, I have a farily big collection of riffs and moves, Tomo cuts right the bone; riffs and moves do not equal music.

I am amazed at the value.

And thanks for the Monk sheets, Tomo! Blue Monk has always been a fave, and it is now officially a goal to get this tune 'working'

PS
My 3 year old loved Twinle Twinkle!>>

<<I was away for ten days. just got back and found the package!

It arrived on Monday, 23rd November (Coincidentally also my birthday! )

and WOW, theres SO much material in it i think its gonna take me years to work through it.

Thanks for autographing the CDs and for the strings as well as picks!

Only downside is that the CD cases are cracked, but thats not your fault, must be the rough handling from the USPS guys.

I'm still in utter shock at the amount of material.. My bro might steal some from me to work on in the mean time.. haha.

Thanks Tomo!>>

Sorry about that! It's Japanese... Basically, it was my interview and I made a duo ... I recorded my guitar with a Boss metronome. My SRV strat and my Fender Blues Jr. (Stock) ... played 2 times.. I picked one take and Mr. Kamo
overdub his guitar. That's it!

I played solo... comping... (Shuffle feel)
solo... comping....(Jazz blues)
solo... comping ...(funk) just like my AYGP demo!
