Orange Cab Owners...Replaced the V30's for??

Hi Eric,
You know I don't have an Orange cab, but I have A/B'ed my RV50 head through a PPC412 and through my 70's Marshall 4x12 with greenbacks. I actually found the PPC412 with V30's surprisingly dark.
If it's of any use, I'm now using two MiC greenbacks and two H75's in an X. I really, really like this combination, and it gives me much more "cut" and crunch than then greenbacks alone, or the PPC412.

I'm assuming you've got a PPC412, what speakers have you tried in it so far ?

For a short time I owned two PPC412 cabs. One was loaded with four V30's (i still own this one) and the other was loaded with four of the 75w Celestion speakers. The two cabinets combined sounded great; better than either individually. However, Individually I preferred the sound of the V30 cab.

Nope, I'm down to one StoneAge 2x12C (semi-open) and it's the best cab I've had (Avatar Vintage, Port City Waves, Freda, Heritage). I've got two pairs of speakers left out of the dozens I've tried over the past couple of years. A pair of Eminence Private Jacks (currently loaded) which I like much much better than the reissue greenies; and a pair of Scumback M75-HP's which are my absolute favorite speaker ever.

I do like the Orange cabs and was thinking of picking up a 2x12 for my closed back cab since it's got the 15" depth. I just don't like the V30's so I was interested to hear what "other" speakers folks were using in their Orange cabs sucessfully.

Didn't the old Oranges come with Fanes? Maybe something along those lines is an option. Correct me if I'm wrong, of course.
