does your bassman take o/d pedals well

I love my bassman, I'm talkin tone heaven, but it doesnt take o/d pedals very well. At least not the ones I have [fd2 & red snapper] Does anyone else have this problem with your bassman?

I have a 59 Bassman LTD and it kills with both the Red Snapper and Full Drive 2.

The '67 SF bassman I had took pedals really well, I have yet to own an amp that takes pedals better. I have heard the blonde era Fenders are a bit more picky about over drive pedals....

mine has been modded. I like the tone of the amp & it is versitile but I wish it took pedals better. Maybe I should buy an un modded bassman too. Gives me a good excuse to by another amp.
