call it relic'd and add $200 to the price.

no reversing, only maintenance. try naval gel.

steel wool and car wax can take the rust layer off of true chrome, but will definitely damage any decal or printing that is on it.

Go to a gun store. Dick's sporting goods should have it as well.
They sell these rust removing wipes. It is a pre-treated cloth.

Buy cloth, remove amp knobs, wipe away rust.
It should not make the chrome finish look cloudy.. but I would consider trying a covered piece of it first to test it out.

I bought one of these cloths for a pistol that had some rust specs on it. One swipe and I was done. i used the rest of the cloth to remove heavy rusting on an ammo can that I got from cheaperthandirt.

I use that orange automotive hand cleaner for the chrome rims/air beather and valve covers on my truck.Takes rust spots off with ease.
It may work for your situation.

Oh.. and to prevent rust.. a light coating of gun oil on a soft clean lint free cloth will go a long way on that panel if you don't touch it with your hands. I would avoid touching it with your fingers, and maybe wiping it off with a cloth (like your guitar) after you use it.
