Hey it's trag-o-caster

Some of you probably know me from other guitar related message boards. I've been a member of the Telecaster Discussion Page since about 1997-98, and an occasional poster to many other fine forums. I honestly don't know why it's taken me so long to find THIS place - and a fine place this is! I've done a lot of lurking prior to writing this introduction post.

My name is Timothy Lamb, and I play locally here in the Flint/Detroit area. I'm known mostly as a blues player but, to make ends meet, I'll take jobs playing a lot classic rock, country, oldies, variety... just about anything that is not hip hop or extreme metal.

Here's a list of some of my gear:

Telecasters - a newish Blue Floral Telecaster (CIJ), a Parts-o-Caster that is a Warmoth Tele body and Fat Back neck with a Duncan 54 RI pickup in the bridge, and a Strat pickup in the neck position (my #1 guitar), and a beat up Fernandes TE-1N Tele copy that I've had for about 10 years.

Stratocaster - I have one Fernandes Strat copy that I like a lot, but not as much as the Teles.

Amps - I have two SF Fenders, a 73 Pro Reverb that I had Tim Swartz BF and re-cap, and a 69 Deluxe Reverb that has also been looked over by Mr. Swartz. I also have an old Sovtek Mig-50 head that I use quite frequently, often in conjunction with the Pro Reverb, if there's enough room on the stage. I also have a B1uesboy 5F1 that I got off of ebay several years ago, an old, beat up Lab Series L11 head that I've just recently fell out of love with, and a buddy's old Roland Cube 60 that I just fell in love with after installing a Weber ceramic Calif 12 in it. That may be my grab 'n go amp for the time being.

Effects? Not much. I'm a big fan of the Morley/Award JD-10, and use it into all of my amps in order to control my on stage volume. I'll use an old Rat pedal in front of that for more dirt. I also own, but never use a Boss SD-1, an old black Marshall Bluesbreaker pedal, a Dan-Echo, and some other bits and pieces that I can't recall right now. Currently my main reverb/delay unit is an old analog Electra EP250 rackmount unit that I really love the sound of - I'm using it instead of the onboard spring reverb in my Fender amps.

I have more junk laying around, but this is the main stuff that I use.

Happy to be here!
