Great comment! I went to "English school" before I came to here... My teacher didn't teach me such a useful expression like "This shit is bananas!"

Yeah, too bad they don't teach that - without a little context you might think I was insulting him!

I once went to a party where the girls hosting it had a fruit bowl on the kitchen table and they wrote that expression on each of the bananas with a Sharpie.

I'm sure Gwen Stefani would have been proud.

I grew up in an ethnically-diverse section of Chicago. It was the swear words and phrases that I always learned first. I could insult people in Greek, Thai, and Korean... I guess that's teh difference bewteen learning a language in scholl vs. on the street.

Sorry to hear about your Vibrolux.. but now you have this tone... Very impressive touch and tone!

I may have to sell some of my gears for my recording project.

Tomo
Yes Tomo,

Sure send it to the site. That would be great! You can download the clip too.
I really love the D'Lite.
Thanks to everyone for the nice comments.
Got to love Tomo's response to the banana quote

Chuck,

I will do that tonight. Thanks. I know some Japanese guys bought your cd!
They love your playing.

Glad you liked my response to the banana quote! I should make my phrase around "banana" I love jokes and fun as well as music.

Thanks for your youtube! I love it! Great groove... Yeah!!!

Fun country licks there... solo over fun changes... You can use triads over that..... Very nice playing!

Trading with piano player... How you set your AC30CC... Your Tele's switch is traditional wiring?

Fun!!!

Playing blues (especially slow) is not my strong suit for sure but here is my slow blues debut. I also played bass drums and rhythm. For the gear heads all five PAF guitars were played an a late 1950's 5 watt Supro w/8" speaker in this clip:

I really like the tone I get with this '64 Deluxe Reverb on 6 with a CS 60's Relic Telecaster Custom dialed back a bit. Only post effect is a bit of delay.

my FTR-37 w/ my Hollow T

Here's a video of a song of mine....you have to sit through the singing to get to the little solo bits and the guitar is a little buried but you get the idea

Rig Tom Anderson Hollow T>Fulldrive II>RI RAT(lead boost)>DD20> Divided by 13 FTR 37

This is probably why I've heard nary a bad thing about old Deluxe Reverbs. It would be impossible to find fault in any sound coming from that amp unless you really messed it up with a bad mod or a bad speaker.

I'd like to throw in one more gear post, if I may. This is a gear clip I call Rockin' & Bluesin' My Piggy:
http://www.box.net/shared/static/y812g90fmv.mp3

I'm the proud owner of an original 1970's Pignose model 7-100,pictured below(please forgive the dust). Mine is not a 1990's re-issue. Anyway, Piggys are fun, great practice amps. In the clip, I'm playing my 2003 Highway One Tele through a Washburn Soloist Distortion dirt pedal($35.00) set for clean boost, then into a Behringer DD100 digital delay pedal($40.00), and finally into my Piggy, which was turned up about halfway. Bedroom practice fun with affordable gear.
