Sales in the Emporium

Has anyone noticed how many highly thought of pedals are just sitting in the Emporium. I mean Skreddy, Lovepedal (BBB,all configs,Tchula, etc.)
ProAnalog, MJM, and many more. Is this an Olympic Slump ?
Tight funds ? Have enough pedals ? Saving for a guitar/amp ?
Opinions please.

I also noticed that, especially when trying to sell some of my pedals. I have no explanation for it though

It's not just pedals, there are great deals on high end guitars and amps that just sit with no buyers. Stuff still moves, but it usually takes longer and the price is generally lower than in the recent past.

Wow, worse than I thought. I didn't check guitars or amps.

I think it's fair to say all of the above is correct. It's the nature of the beast to try new pedals and flick em if they don't float your boat. I personally have only ever sold pedals because of...

A. They don't work with my particular setup or the tones i am going for
B. To fund my next purchase, so as not to upset the already stressed Mrs. Stressfest
C. I hate my whole setup, lets sell it and start again... Also know as boredom
D. The cruel sods on here inducing my uncontrolable GAS... see answer C above

It's definitely the economy. All of my "disposable income" is going to gas and stuff. I think trading is the best way to go at this time

i think the new way of the emporium is not good, you can pay some dollars and you can automatically sell with maybe one post?

I think people should be here for at least 3 months before having the right to sell something, paying or not.

This should be discussed with the moderators and please correct me if i am wrong

It's hard to say it's the time of year - there's too many scenarios. For instance, you could theorize that on the other hand, younger people with Summer jobs probably have cash right now. Yes, people are spending money on summer vacations, and soon it will be the Fall and people will be saving for and buying Christmas gifts for the family. Jan-April the excuse is that people are waiting for their tax returns to come in. Then suddenly we are back into Summer and you get the vacation excuse.

It probably has more to do with the economy in general than the time of year (rising unemployment, higher cost of food, gas and pretty much everything else)
