Ibanez sure grip knobs

Does anyone know of a company that makes replacement suregrip knobs for Ibanez guitars? I know that the originals are rare and that they go for ridiculous money on ebay but my old ibanez as180 needs some new knobs. The originals are cracked and held together with super glue!! Need to give my old faithful some love! Help please?

I don't know of anyone making replacement Sure Grip knobs. If you look for Roland guitar synth knobs from the 80s they're pretty much the same thing (made by the Fuju Gen factory) and they go for less $.

They sell for absurd amounts of $$. A friend bought an old Ibanez and put speed knobs on it. He put the Sure Grips on ebay @ 4 for .99 opening bid. They sold for $128.00.

Original Sure Grip I knobs are hard to find. But I think you can buy Sure Grip II knobs from the Ibanez E-commerce store, which is offline for maintenance at the moment. Personally, I think the old ones were nicer, I had them on several guitars 20 years ago, but the supply dried up.

What I've been doing lately is buying these lousy rubber grip ring knobs and popping the grip ring off and slipping it onto a Gibson speed knob. It works well.

OMG!!, you must be kidding!!... Now you're going to have all these people going to Guitar Center and all these other big chain music stores and scopeing out any vintage Ibanez for those knobs so they can swipe them and sell them on eBay!!!

I got 2 sure grip and 2 speed knobs for a total of $10 CDN a few weeks ago. I've heard about the high prices but if you look there are reasonable prices(at least for now)

+1, I've got some old Ibanez knobs laying around from the late 70's early 80's.

The Suregrip 1's in yellow are the rarest, but even the suregrip 2's in black are scarce
and Ibanez appears to be the sole source.

And many of their guitars just don't seem correct without them. I've got an AR300
with speed knobs and I'd love to get SG2's on there but at $40 minimum for a set?
Too rich for me.

I've seen them for $10 a knob thru some online suppliers but I've also seen
sad ebay auctions where a seller obviously sold the original knobs in one
auction so that he could maximize his ROI and sells the guitar with speed
knobs or the like in a separate auction.

It's sad but Ibanez is still producing the Sure Grip 2 knobs but you will usually
never find them at a dealer and you'd have to special order from Japan.
