Relic'd SG's

If you have a well used or Relic's SG could you post pics of it? I would like to see what mine will look like in 20 years. Thanks.

This one was a late '60s version. Lots of checking:

very nice guitar? How many times has the neck been busted off?? Thats a common issue with an older SG

All original 1962 no checking. Just cause they are old doesn't mean they have to look beat.

My 2003 SG standard (that I bought new) has been played soooo much that I burnt through the chrome on the edge of the neck pickup, and burnt through the finish on the back of the neck and a little on the body. It's on it's second set of frets. Necks getting weak from "dive-bombing". Totally amazing guitar. It's in semi-retirement. I pull it out for recording. I'll shoot some pics if I get a chance.

Temperature changes cause the wood and finish to expand and contract. Lacquer cracks, or checks, as a result.
