Please have me committed! (Rosewood Tele Content)

I'm pretty sure I've just about lost my mind, but I'm happy nonetheless.

I've been drooling over the Rosewood Tele ever since I can remember. The rooftop shots of George Harrison playing it have left a lasting impression on me and when George passed away I told myself I would own a replica of his guitar one day. Well, today is that day.

I bought this without playing it, which is the main reason I'm convinced that I've lost my mind. The problem is that no dealers have any of these anywhere near me that I'm aware of. So, I haven't had a chance to play one, let alone see one in person. I got this one through a reputable Fender Custom Shop dealer that I've done business with before, so I think it will be okay.

Looks really sweet. Congrats on getting the guitar of your dreams. And please give us a tone report when it arrives.

Nice score!

I can't remember who, but someone here has one of those.

I'd like to see some pics once she's in your hands.

I've heard and played 2 or 3 of the MIJ Rosewood Teles, and they may be my fave production Fenders. Great guitars.

Of course, they're pretty wussy these days - mahogany sandwiched between rosewood. Solid rosewood would have you crying like a little girl - I know, I have a solid rosewood Chapin Hawk, maybe 14+ pounds, and I can feel myself getting shorter everytime I play it on a strap!

Oh man, that is sweet. I've thought about one of those (could never afford that one let alone an MIJ version)

This one was built by John Cruz and weighs in at 9 pounds. It will be my second heaviest guitar after my R8.

The rosewood Teles are not light, either way, but they repay the pain and suffering with gorgeous tone and playability! Congrats on the score.
