Mesa Express 5:25

Does anyone have any experience with the Mesa Boogie Express 5:25? It seems like a pretty cool amp and I'm looking for something new right now. Or, is there something else better in that price range? Thanks!

i have one. i got the head version.
i love it. i would go for the head or the 1x12 if you want a combo.
the 1x10 combo doesnt maximize the versatility of the amp, IMO.
lots of cool usable sounds and features at a great price.
to me the amp can cover a lot of ground sonically, from nice cleans to cool mid gain (my favorite on the amp) to good crunch and searing leads. i don't consider el-84s to be a very "metal approved" output tube, but the preamp does have plenty of gain.

I have one. I have posted on the several already existing threads that discuss the amp.

Great amp. Mine is the original combo with the 10" speaker. Although it is a great sounding speaker at lower volumes, I suggest you consider getting thier 12" version that is available now.

I played a Mesa Express Combo recently and was amazed at the versatility of usable tones.

You can hook the 1x12 combo into an external speaker cab I assume?

If so, seems like a killer setup...

Does anyone know the street price on these?

Thanks!

Doesn't Mesa force all their dealers to charge the same price? I thought I had read that somewhere.

Can you dial in a tone like, say, the JCM800?

I have a mesa roadster. Can the 5:25 do the Foo Fighters type rhythm guitar sound that the roadster nails on channels 3+4? Anybody/
