YCS 50 vs. DSL 50 ? Thoughts?

I am thinking of pulling the trigger on a Traynor YCS 50. I'm kinda stuck between the Traynor and a Marshall DSL 50. I'm really on the fence about this one. I play a little bit of classic rock, but mostly 90's stuff Stone Temple Pilots, Smashing Pumpkins, bit of Nirvana, but I cover some Emo type stuff for the kids (The Academy Is..., Fall Out Boy, All Time Low). Anyone have any advice or insight they could offer? Maybe some amp that I haven't even considered? I'd like to keep this under $1000 so the wife doesn't kill me

I'm currently using a Gibson SG Deluxe into a Peavey Classic 30. The Classic 30 really just isn't my cup of tea.

Ycs50

I had a DSL 50 for a couple years and really liked the tones. I just could never get a good tone at lower volume. Just picked up a YSC50 and absolutely love it. With the ability to switch from 50 watts to 15 it really is pretty cool. It does the high gain Marshall tone as well as great cleans. I think the traynor is alot more flexible and for the cost I don't think it can be touched.

i agree with boldkharma. I got a YCS50 combo as well, and it's a great amp.

I know it's not exactly the same amp, but my bandmate just got a YCS 90 2-12, and it sounds unbelievably good. Very versatile and the 25 watt switch makes it usable. I am definitely a hand wired corksniffer, but these Traynors sound great and they are well built.....
