Eventide Multifactor?
Anyone know if there's a "Multifactor" on the way? The Timefactor looks pretty great. I'm sure the Modfactor is cool too. I'd love to have a scaled down Timefactor and a scaled down Modfactor in one same box... maybe some vibe/phaser/octave options too.
Basically, a quality time/pitch based fx box that fits on a pedal board, has tap tempo, and MIDI functionality... that doesn't mess with my straight tone in a significant way. Any ideas?

I'm not sure why; it should be the same price. The only thing that's different about it is the software. Put in a few delay algos, a few chorus algos, a few other time/pitch algos... it's not really all that different than what they make now, just some different software... which they already have!

An Eclipse in a floor multi. Yeah it'll be expensive.

Just what I need to replace my magicstomps. But it had better be darned good to get them off my boards..

You can buy both the TF and MF for less than half of what it'd cost to buy an Eclipse...amazing sounding units and very easy to use. M13 isn't even in the same league.

Yes. I don't want an Eclipse... what I'm saying is take half of the Timefactor... half of the Modfactor... and put them together in the same box...
Like, a digi, tape, and analog delay algorithm... and a chorus, phaser, and vibe algorithm. It won't have all the delay functionality of the Timefactor... nor all the modulation functionality of the Modfactor... but bits of both for those who only need bits of both... They don't even have to design or invent anything new! It's just a matter of installing software!

For example, the Timefactor's already designed to run two delays simultaneously... instead of the second delay, let me run a chorus or phaser simultaneously... the knobs and processing power are already there... it's just a matter of installing the software.

Words straight out of my mouth. How many people would be all over a Pitchfactor like a rottweiler at a cat show?
You can bet you'd see a bunch of WH-1's for sale as well... |

Man, imagine if you could sync a TF with a PF so that each repeat the pitch shift increased...! Or you could sync a pitch shift to a modulation speed or depth setting? Ok, I have too many wacky ideas...

i talked to the eventide guys at winter namm '08 and they were keeping any new products close to their chest. someone asked about a reverb and someone else asked about a pitch thingy. a reverb device seemed most logical after the conversation.
