Beach Boys

Does anyone know any good beach boys songs to play, just me and the guitar, it seems like all their stuff is actually fairly complex, believe it or not. Just lookin' for a simple tune to learn.

Thanks alot!

Yep. Use the tremolo on your amp (if you have it).

+1 for "In My Room". Also, "Wouldn't It Be Nice" can be done with a little artistic license. "Surfer Girl" is another, depending on the venue. God, I love The Beach Boys!! And I WAS a surfer back then.

Don't Worry Baby. I've always liked that song (and the Beach Boys). I saw them at the New Haven Colosseum in '65; my first concert.

God Only Knows has some really nice chords, that are not too hard to play. And good suggestions here.

The arrangements are sometimes very intricate, but remember - at his core, Brian Wilson is a piano player, and the other members were guitar players. Even though studio musicians often did the recording work, those songs all started on piano or guitar - you just have to boil them down a bit!!

"In My Room" was the first song I thought to suggest as well. There's a bunch of lesser-known stuff from their first 4-5 albums that is just 3- and 4-chord progressions with fun or cool lyrics that would be pretty easy to adapt.
