Line 6 FM4 Filter concensus?

Since the search function can't read half of "Line 6 FM4 Filter" I couldn't find very much on it.

Is it really true bypass?

Is it durable enough?

Any volume loss, or noise issues?

Is it versitle?

Does it sound sterile or anything like that?

I'm looking for something new, this looks like it will be a cool addition!

Thanks!! :AOK

Yes.

yes.

No.

It's as versatile as you are creative.

Does it sound sterile or anything like that?
It's based on chips and electricity so it's not exactly organic.

I'm looking for something new, this looks like it will be a cool addition!

Then buy one used and get your weird noise thing on!

The Subdecay Prometheus is really cool:

Rock and Roll Workshop Dual Delay is killer. Not your typical delay pedal:

I owned the FM-4 and really didn't like it. I've been trying to find a filter pedal for a long, long time. I picked up the Micro Q-Tron lately...and it's awesome. Best filter pedal I've used since the search started (about 7 different ones!). It's a keeper, and cheap too!

I love my FM-4. As for sterile, it all depends on how you use it.

That's what I did when I bought mine,

I wasn't sure if all the sounds were USABLE...

as it turns out... they're not,

But because of that it challenges you to do something a little different, it's one of my favorite pedals.

If you get your POG fixed and decide to get one... Get one of those Line 6 Expression Pedals... it's like... totally ridiculous X 2!

yeah, you have to use it with an expression pedal. its about a hundred times more fun to play with when you have an expression pedal attached. but again, the sounds are barely musical unless you are creative enough to put them to use. i liked mine, but sold it after i couldn't find much use for it in the worship band that i bought it for.
