Help, what are these in my sovtek Mig 60?

The big filter caps in my Sovtek Mig 60 look different then anything I have ever seen? They also have these little round yellow(look like small tiny caps) attached to them. I'd like to replace all of them with traditional style caps, can I? anyone know where to buy parts for the sovtek amps?(I need new stanby and on of switches? thanks for any info

Well perhaps a MIG expert will chime in here... but I'll say this:

- All electrolytic caps go bad.. It's actually time, not use. Nothing different about these I'm sure. The useful life of any electrolytic cap is about 15 or 20 years.

- Are there values printed on them? 35 uF or 50 uF?? Something like that.. Also, is the polarity (+ and -) clearly marked?

Do a search on this forum. There was recently a large discussion about these caps.

I'm trying but I'm not finding info on the russian filter caps. Also do you know what the little caps (at least they look like caps) going to the filter caps are ? These little caps (about the size of the little ceramic disk caps) are stung like christmas tree lights between the big filter caps?

Thanks ! great info, better schematic too. The christmas things, look like little orange red footballs? There's 4 of them comming off the one cap and 5 of them on the board that holds the fuses? I'm trying to find them on the schematic to see what they are.

Diodes. It's on the schematic. Four for each rectifier section and one for a bias section (the 5 on the fuse board, 4+1)

I'm amazed how good this amp sounds. I have made a few tweaks for less gain on the high input and reconnected the tone stack (it was disconnected?) but I'm floored how good this amp sounds. Also I spoke to sensor for help and parts, they couldn't have been nicer. Thanks to you guys too, for the time and help. best $300 I ever spent on an amp.

I think it may be my main amp too? I have to check it out with the band. This amp is working out a lot better then my Plexi or JCM800, in that, I can get great crunch and still get nice cleans using my guitar volume.
