I just added a new turntable to my hi-fi, but no new gear yet. I might be getting a 2000/2001 Historic R8 Les Paul. It is one of the best that I have played or heard. It will get a spot on the wall.

I have also been messing around with pre-amp tubes in my 50w Marshall. It seems to like Telefunkens the best through the 1970 Basketweave.

Tell me the Floyd on the 335 was just an accident (you dropped the guitar and there was a floyd that got stuck on it) and you are very sorry!

I bought it that way at a heavy heavy discount. The guy (idiot) that owned it before bought it new in '74 and sometime in the 80's decided it'd be a good idea to replace the pups with seymour duncans and add a Kahler to it. *sigh*

Not the same as an original, but it does have a dirty flavor about it that I can use.

I did that "hanging the guitars on the wall" thing for a while, then someone slammed a door and one of them fell off the hangar (Ibanez solid body, heavy as sin). Since that day, my guitars live in their cases or on a 5 guitar stand in the corner. And, since amps and pedals have multiplied there seems no tasteful way to display them, so my guitar room is now pretty utilitarian with amps and effects racks around the outside...

My wife's music room is tasteful with just a few acoustics on the wall, piano in the center, couch, pump and Hammond organs, harp and couch but I've got way too much stuff to emulate that!
