There is NO accounting for taste.
Maybe psychotherapy.
Some of you have to be simply, purposefully, contrary.

I'm over here in my unit, isolated and alone, eating my terrible tasting food, and I have to look over at that. That looks like the most fun I've ever seen in my entire life, and it's B.S. - excuse my language. I'm just saying that I wash and dry; I'm like a single mother. Look, we all know home-ec is a joke - no offense - it's just that everyone takes this class to get an A, and it's bull$h!t - and I'm sorry. I'm not putting down your profession, but it's just the way I feel.

E. Clapton- Johnson, King, King and King derivative.
B. Dylan- hog caller.

I'm 36. I listen to a wide variety of music, across many generes, but I simply can't get into the music of the following artists despite repeated attempts. Whereas I respect the musical legacy's of these bands/artists, they just ain't my cup of tea. Flame me if you feel you need to:

1) The Beatles
2) Greatful Dead
3) Phil Lesh and Friends
4) Phish
5) Phil Collins and any music by Genesis when he was with the band
6) Coldplay
7) Bruce Springsteen
8) Britney Spears, and any "Teen pop" stuff in general
9) Eric Clapton (solo) Love Cream.

Some bands grew on me with time. But, here are some major bands and performers that I have never been impressed with (despite their popularity):
Metallica
Bruce Springsteen
Greatful Dead (although I can enjoy a couple of their songs)
Britney Spears
Lou Reed
Pearl Jam (other than a song or two)
Phish
Tom Waits
White Stripes
Poison
Primus
Nickelback

Creed
John Cougar Mellencamp
Jonas Brothers
Jackson Browne
Jimmy Buffett
Matchbox 20

. . . and, lots of 80s spandex bands, rap, and pop performers. I can listen to most styles, appreciate some aspects of most bands, and listen to a song or two from anyone. But the bands above never clicked with me. I am 46. Of course, the cummulative record sales of the above is many millions more than I will ever acheive. No bitterness from me. I own a total of 3 recordings from all of the above artists. I don't find myself wanting to listen to them. I own about 800 CDs including metal, rock, regae, blues, classical, jazz, etc. Other than country and rap, whihc have no desire to purchase, my choices are not based on genre.

If anyone enjoys these artists, that's great. There are plenty for me to choose from.
