You're welcome. Thank you. John Mayer strat is really good. Great neck, pickups... Easy to play. You don't change anything.

There is a Squire Duo-Sonic clip too.

hey Tomo,

did you have to do any set up work to the guitar when you got it? I bought one about 2 months ago. It was set up terribly and I actually had to have some of the upper frets filed down because the strings would deaden if bent them above the 12th fret. Peter from Broken Neck guitar repair said that it was from when they bolt the neck onto the body it pushes up the frets in that area. I'm wondering if you had that issue.

Tomo,
Sounds great!
Question though..How did you have the volume and tone controls on the guitar?
I've found most of the really nice tones on a Strat have to have the tone controls rolled back some. At least on my guitars and setups.

The tones on this clip are great. No ice pick highs on otherwords!

Thanks for posting.

I didn't have any issue. It was great when I got it. The neck has a bit flame too.... I really like this strat.

Thank you for your kind words. My guitar volume is around 9?
Tone is full... sometime I roll back a bit on rear pickup. I get much warmer tone because I pick around front pickup.. most people pick around middle pickup.. and I hold my pick really soft. Pickboy 1mm.

My '67 Pro has really warm, clear tone... I love this amp!

Tomo, my friend, beautiful demo - interesting tones indeed from the bridge pick up, I liked it a lot!

I'm in real big with my nephew's girlfriend since she realized that I know "Tomo who jammed with John Mayer at Berklee..." - I love 18 year olds! Not that much, though.

How's your daughter's dancing? Mine is doing real well with Ballet, I even wrote some music for their Academy - make's a change!

Best, Pete.

Hi Pete,

The bridge pickup is pretty hot. I really like this guitar! I won't change anything...

It's interesting to hear... I really enjoy playing with John...

Thanks for asking.. She switched her school and is focusing Ballet more.. She did some auditions in NY.. She is doing well. It's nice to hear that...

Tomo

Tomo, I think I need to grab a JM Strat to try - I'm still using the Fralin Vintage (slightly) Hot in my SRV - what are you using now?
Next time we meet up I'll bring my last Chapin Strata-Houla with Mahogany Body/Korina Neck, Hardtail with Demeter Mid-Boost - I think you'll like it too.
Btw my Nephew is an UnderGrad at the Tisch Film School NYU - I've done some scores for them because they are always looking for Soundtrack music.

Best, Pete.

Yes, it's pretty cool bright pickup... not spicky not boomy...not thin...

Thank you. Did I play some chords? I am working on my triads!
