Looking for a multi-ohm OT

That will work in a Fender Champ clone?

Any suggestions?

The specs on the Fender Champ's OT are 7000 Ohm to 3.2 Ohm, but I was hoping for something that ended in 4 Ohm/8 Ohm or 8/16.

How close do I need to be to the 7K Ohms?

what happens at, say 7300 Ohms?

These MPS trannies are good for DIY/experiments----- very reasonably priced---i haven't used their SE trannies but i've used some of their PT's with no problems--

Weber has single ended transformers that will work. He also sells Mercury Magnetics transformers that will work for your project as well. Scroll down to the links on the left.

So, how would I modify this (if I even need to) for 6L6's?

I'm planning a few changes to this, but I'm new to this, so a little advice would be appreciated...

I assume you mean 1 x 6L6? If so, you need to look at Dave Hunter's schem for his little single-ended amp.

sorry mr coffee, no luck just yet-- I'm trying to stay at 7000 ohm primary impedance-- If I change my route, I'll let you know...
