Awesome Harry, cool listening to all the pedals with the same recording conditions. Love your playing with the dumbbell, you seem expressive and free - nice nod to Stevie BTW :AOK

I really like the jazz licks when your playing the zen - you seem very comfortable with that one. Played one the other day on a friends rig with a raging late 60s deluxe and had a blast.

I posted in the other thread already, but I've now had a chance to listen to all the clips and my top three are the Rat, Maxon D&S, and the Yardbox. Most of the others are great also, but those three stood out for me. Great demos, much appreciated!!

Assuming some of these were Bruce's peds......

The McFuzz is a HOT version.....all silicon......I actually think there's a something slightly wrong with it. Never sounded right to me. The standard McFuzz is a germ/sil hybrid, and one of the fattest, most versatile fuzzes around. (same thing as a Hellbilly).

The NEO fuzz has a TON of adjustability.............can go from wha you dialed in to mosquito-buzz "Spirit in the Sky" to whacked out, easy.

The Yard Box is very underrated........terrific pedal, as you show.

Finally.....you should have contacted me.....I always have boxes available for testing!

cheers,

Jim
Hey Jim,
Hope all is well man... been a while
I prefer very subtle fuzz in front of an OD,or amp on the verge as well... but that's not what this was about. I wanted the box to be heard more than than a sweet amp or OD.

Yes a few were from Bruce, and most likely indirectly from you if I know you :-)

By all means man.... bring on your puppies dude... I'll add them to this.

I have also been contacted by a few additional companies that wanted to be included, I said the same to them.

Regarding the Neo, I liked it so much myself, I had to get another :-)

What else ya got up your sleeve there bud?

Regarding the Zen, Could be that I've been using it longer. Actually, this clip doesn't begin to do it justice IMHO... may re-record

Ill be making some single channel dumbbells soon with tone and gain trimmers. I should get you one so you can dial it in to taste.

Just got a batch of really sweet NOS OC44. Im making up some rangemasters and fuzzfaces with my old tweaks. Perhaps Ill shoot you the prototypes for feedback.

Thanks for including me - I could listen to you all day.

H,

If you liked the Yardbox at ALL, you need to lean on Jay to make you one of his GasBenders.............simply amazing ToneBender-style fuzz.

Actually, have him make you TWO.....I mistakenly sold mine! Duh-oh!
