Man, I should have never sold that "small box" Marshall 50!

Ever find an old video or recording of a rig that just REALLY worked at the time that you later sold?

It just rubs it in...

Anyway, here are some old videos I did WAY back in 1981, when we were all just 18-21 year old kids. Pardon my singing on some of it, I'm NOT a singer.

I'm playing my original '59 Les Paul I got when I was 18 (luckily I still have that) into a '69 (or '70?) Marshall 50 & two cabs, the 2nd head is a spare. Probably running a Scholtz attenuator, flanger, chorus & wah, but no boosts or overdrive just a dimed loud amp.

Click here and the videos say "1981 live with RAVEN"...

(On a side note I saw this exact same Marshall 50 show up on ebay about 3-4 years ago. I was dumb a second time and missed my chance, ooops. Anyone with Marshall 50 #S/A 5297A?)

tell me about it. I should have kept my '67 JTM 50 watt. But I had gotten laid off, and had tried to pay my bills, hoping I would get a job and be able to keep my stuff. Alas, it wasn't meant to be.

Sometimes in life you get lucky.

Three years ago I mentioned to a gear buddy that I was interested in trying Marshalls. He just happened to have a '68 small box for sale. Lucky, lucky me.

More than anything, love the hair!!!!

And, more than the LP and Marshall [great tone btw]......

LOVE THOSE LAMB CHOPS!!!!!!

Great to see you carrying the tone "torch" back in the day, the day of the synth.

At least you still have the burst! :RoCkIn

Man I love finding old videos/tapes of our band from way back when in the good old days.

I feel your pain on the small box, I did the same thing. Man I still miss that amp.
Fortunately, I found a 69 metal from some years later.

Your ax sounded amazing!

I'm pretty sure that my fav amp is my 68 Plexi 50 watter through my 69 Park Cab.

And I've had (have) a lot of amps.

Everyone should own an orginal 50 watt Marshall from before 1973...

Bravo!
That was great, and that tone and that hair were a match made in heaven.

I agree, and he was the youngest at 18.
