AC30 chasis question

Anyone know where I can get an empty AC30 head case to move the chassis out of my combo? I am currently playing the combo as a head through a 4x12, and don't need to log around that damn 100 pound thing... It is a Custom classic btw...

Also, I would LOVE to get one in fawn... Anyone know if this is possible or where to go to get it?

I have contacted NCM about this in the past for exactly the same reason (wanted to put my AC30CC2 chassis in a head to tote around). They didn't make anything for that at the time, nor did they sell just the original Vox head cabinet without the chassis. You might try contacting Korg customer support directly as they were willing to send me a replacement baffle at one point, so I assume they can get stuff from the factory.

Well I have blues in the combo, but I am runing it through an Orange 4x12 with 16 ohm Vintage 30's. I like both, but the V30's are a lot deeper sounding, and let me use a little more of the treble with the amp while not making my ears bleed...

I am actually thinking if I were to go the head route, I was going to pull the blues and put two of them in the 4x12 (I have it wired to run series paralell in an x pattern). but until I can get away from the combo I am leaving it as is...

Heh, just thinking the same thing today! Take my old topboost chassis out of the combo and find a cab for it. Then find a small 1X12 to run it through with a blue or silver in it. Not the ultimate setup, but I could then at least physically hoist it in to my car with my bum shoulder.

Ok, I hate to bring this old thread back but I checked with voxshowroom.com and they replied that they do not make a box to convert the combo over to a head...

I would REALLY like to do this so does anyone have any advice on where to go?

You can scratch the original fawn idea as I think that was just wishfull thinking... now I would really just like to get something.
