Amp switcher for A/B Rig?

Hey guys!

I asked a similar question not too long ago, but I figured it would be easier to start a new thread rather than to dig up the old one

I'm hoping to put together an A/B rig with my Mesa Stiletto and Mesa 2 Channel Rectifier....I don't plan to run the rig y....only A/B, but I guess it can't hurt to have the option.

So, I'm torn between the Lehle Little Dual and the Voodoo Labs amp selector...

Since I'm planning to run A/B, it would seem that a buffer isn't necessary, and the Lehle would be the way to go. But, at the same time, I've read that the Voodoo has a great buffer, and it seems like it wouldn't hurt to have that, should I ever want to run Y with the amps.

I'd really appreciate some input from people that have gone though a similar situation. I'm really torn

Thanks much!

Eric

The Lehle is the way to go. It's REALLY clear, AND, I prefer to add my own buffer anyway, either an MI audio Boost n buff or a Creation audio labs mk 4.23.

Appreciate the opinion. If I don't usually use a buffer, will it be at all necessary if I'm only doing A/B? I wouldn't think so...

Other opinions?

Thanks!

What exactly (technically) is a buffer when it relates to a guitar/amp situation and what do it do- if you don't mind me asking?

I have Litlle Lehle and it's oustanding not just as AB box but also as multipurpose guitar signal manipulator! Highly recommended and works fantastic!
