Power supply for very large board

I've been building a very large and complicated pedal board over the last few years. It is made up of two parts - a floor unit and a waste high unit (built out of a rack 'trolley.') The two units can be up to 3 feet apart if desired or the floor unit can be stowed away under the rack unit.

The floor unit, which is kind of the control unit, has a Musicom Lab 8 way looper, 3 Barge Concepts blender loopers, a Loopmaster 2 way looper , a wah, a volume, compressor, and noise gate. The other unit has all the creative goodies, 16 pedals at last count, and its great having them at waste height for easy tweaking.

I have been powering everything with three Cioks Big Johns, but with there being so many unbalance cables connecting the units, it tends to pick up a bit of noise even though I'm using pretty decent cables - Klotz LaGrange and Van Damme.

I've also noticed that the noise can be reduced by moving the power supplies as far from the pedals as possible and angling them in a particular direction.

What is the absolute best solution for powering big set ups like this?

I've just gone from a Big John to a Voodoo Labs PP2+. The difference is night and day. Rig is quieter, has more headroom and just plain sounds better. There is a reason all the pro's use them!

Oh, and due the the Big John being plastic, the magnetic field isn't contained in the casing, it gets out and causes havoc with some pedals, mainly wahs and OD's.

Best I've ever used is the JuiceBox. Check out www.pedalgear.net. They can be powered by 240V...

you might want to check out the gigrig power supply. It is totally scalable and probably can power a good chunk of what you've got.

My board's almost that big, but due to multiple 18v pedals I use a pair of Voodoo Labs pp2 power supplies!

wow, ok. I had always presumed these two were on a par. I'll have to check this out. Cheers.

What about a power conditioner, to regulate my power source - could that make a difference?
