Boss Volume Pedal FV500H VS FV500L

I understand that the high impedance version is designed to between the guitar and the amp, and the low impedance is for the fx loop.....

Question is, if I'm running a compressor or clean boost first in line and is on all the time (which I think converts the signal to low impedance) are their any benefits to using the low impedance version? Or should I just go with the high impedance version on the off chance that I'm not running another pedal before it?

Thanks

Only buy the "H" When your plugging your guitar directly into the volume pedal or when you use only true bypass pedals between your guitar and volume pedal. In all other cases the "L" version is the way to go!

Ditto.

If you run your compressor always on, I would try the low impedance version. I have both and they are truly excellent pedals that get a bad rap around here because they say "Boss" on them. ; )

I LOVE mine too. Mike Landau and a few other tone gurus use them-- obviously for a reason.

I have recently adopted the philosophy; that one can't save the ignorant from their ignorance. They have to do it themselves.

Bullet proof! I use the L before and after pedals and loops with equally great results. Never really knew or could tell the difference, for my rig anyway.
