The Bassman Bunch!!!

(sing to the Brady Bunch theme song)

Here's the story
Of a bunch of tone freaks
Who were searching for the best amp in the world
All of them had tried a lot
Of other tube amps
But nothing hit the spot
Til the one day when the gear whores met the Bassman
And they knew it was much more than a hunch
That this group must somehow form a family
That's the way we all became The Bassman Bunch
The Bassman Bunch
The Bassman Bunch
That's the way we became the Bassman Bunch!!

Welcome to the new home of all things Bassman!!! Join now!!

very pure & honest tone, had a vintage blackface from the 60's.
if only i still had it...

You can get near that tone with a lot of the boutique fuss, BUT why not have the real deal. Very awesome amps, i saw Chris Duarte busting out some serious chops with his live. Course he had a healthy dose of pedals, but the pure barely breaking up tone on a bassman is hard to beat.

Great FOH sound =

Amp with no mid knob + PA system with a 32-band EQ

Ahhh I do love a good Bassman. I'm currently playing a 135 through a 412 closed back. I bought the 135 a few years ago before I realized it wasn't that great for guitars

Sooo now I'm considering selling it to my bass player and trying to track down a 66 or 67 BF and pairing it with a Port City 2x12. Punchy Bassman goodness ahoy! Couple of questions for those more in the know than I: How much should I be selling the 135 for and what price range am I looking at for a decent old Blackface?

I agree the theme song sucks. I came up with it in about 45 seconds. I was trying to do something that would draw attention and bring people in. Yes, the song blows!!

Count me and my '61 6G6 in! Mine came from the factory with a blonde Twin OT and a tube rectifier. I'm learning to love her more everyday!
