Rice Custom Guitars building Thinline Tele for me

Looked again at this pics today and thought I had to share ... Chris Rice is currently building this Thinline Tele for me, and I love how it looks already now:

Yep, I can't wait to hear how it sounds :-)

I ordered some specials, like a "D-Tuner" for the lower E string and special wiring/switching options ... if it sounds as good as it looks, it will probably become my main gutar.

What's also great about the Rices:
1. They really try to implement your suggestions; like, I wanted a momentary type "killswitch", an additional "PUs in series" position on the PU switch and a center detented Tone control that's standard (Hi Cut) in one direction and Lo Cut in the other. I was a little unspecific on the neck dimensions, so Chris Rice came up with detailed questions.
2. You get updates and pics from the building process from time to time. Really good if you are too far away to just drop in and have a look.

Welcome to the fold Bro.

I have been playing a Rice now for just under 2 1/2 years. Every time I open the case I just sit and look at it a bit - just like I did when she was brand spanking new.

I know how ya feel when Rich and Chris send the pics - It was a true blast watching the guitar come together.

Congrats and I can tell ya - it will be worth the wait.

Here is my #47

Sascha - do you know where that D-Tuner came from?
I didn't know they made headstock ones like that...too cool!

That's a beautiful looking guitar. I own #38 and the Rice builds are really nice and not priced out of the stratosphere like some other builders. Congratulations!
