Everyone I know retired theirs. I have no doubt they could still make some great records, though.

I still have it...been a couple of years since I used it though as I've been in a (slow) studio construction phase.
The system is great...tons of tracks on even very modest processors (I was getting 24+ tracks on an old PIII 500 Mhz). Too bad development just came to a screeching halt in 2001 or so. There's no support for VSTi's, or latency compensation, and midi is poor...but the sonics are there, and the interface is easy to use. I plan to keep using it until the hardware breaks, or it no longer fits with my workflow. Cheers Kris |

I still use my Paris on an almost daily basis in my studio, mostly for the roots rock and roll that we play, and am very comfortable with it. I was gonna switch to ProTools last year, but honestly for the price of the conversion, it wouldn't give me any more functionality than I could see myself using.
I've used it for hundreds of other people's sessions, as well as for the three (soon to be four) Mambo Sons cds. |

I have one that gets used occasionally...great system, too bad it got "left behind"

Agreed...it's sound is great too! Very transparent and not "digital-ly."

Still using it in 2009 alongside a Sonar rig. For tracking and mixing audio it is still the best IMO.
