Smile cp thornton Tele

That is not a Rumor.I talked to Chuck and he has a prototype made.
I have a new professional Archtop #174 (On his site of newly completed)that I received before christmas and it is a beauty. His work is impeccable
and the pics do not do it justice. It may seem like alot of money until you look at some 3k gibsons and realize you are getting a hand made guitar with Chuck.

I'm kind of watching the Tele style development, too. Have not heard anything since reading Chuck's blog/news item months ago.

Wish he still ran adverts in Vintage Guitar Magazine. I used to look forward to the great pictures.

I simply have to brag about my new CpThornton Blues Queen

I drove up to Maine before Christmas to pick up my long-awaited Blues Queen (#182 on Chuck's site). His guitars surpass anything I've owned previously and the BQ is simply stunning to look at (looks way better in real life than in the pics), plays phenomenally well and sounds incredible! I took it to the first gig last Saturday (duo Jazz gig) and the keyboard player kept looking at and asking about my amp. I told him “yes, great amp, but it’s the guitar that’s blowing you away”. Earlier that day, I had the guitar in a high-end music store playing through a couple of small amps. Another customer kept checking out the guitar, so I handed it to him to check out. He didn’t seem to want to give it back, said how much he loved it and that he needed Chuck’s contact information. Of course, I happily complied! The owner of the store was trying to act nonchalant as his potential customer kept playing and asking about the CpThornton Blues Queen. I could go on and on, but, for now, let me just state that it’s impossible to purchase a finer instrument than a CpThornton. Chuck and Jeano are master craftsmen and a couple of the nicest people on the planet. Buy one of their guitars and put the others on eBay! It’s very, very sick, but after having played my first CpThornton for almost two weeks, I’m already trying to figure out how to procure a second one!

Beautiful guitars! And the BQ with P-90s...great, another P-90 guitar I think I need. Now if he'd just make a Tele style guitar with P-90s...

Smile I got to play Chuck's new CPThornton Tele Prototype today!

What a treat! I got to play the new CPThornton Tele prototype today and it's to die for! The sound is in line with the famous Tele sound but with twice the sustain. With the patented CPThornton neck design it plays great and it “Just Feels right”. Chuck’s new Tele style seems to weigh quite a bit less than I remember a normal Fender Tele weighing. I got a look at the first batch in finish and I’m already convinced that I will own one of these very soon; I just need to convince my wife.

Wow (again)

I took a break from playing for a couple of weeks because of a vacation. Before that I had been in Tele mode for about a month.

So its been 6 weeks since I've played my CP Thornton Elite (#46). Damn...Its a fine guitar. I cannot put it down. I have played it for about two hours today and think its definately no 1 again in my collection.

It really does shine above the rest ~

Great looking guitars. Sure they sound as good as they look. How do you like the P-92's? Which Victoria do you have there and how does it sound ?

Luvvin my CPT's

I gotta get a family photo of my CPT family. I took this shot of the first 3 during Christmas in 2007, but since then I have added another Blues Queen and 2 Fusions. The other shots were last fall. Right now this is all I've got until I go see Chuck the first week in May and pick up Classic #001.

The guitars truely to sound amazing! Those pickups are actually replicas of the Seth Lover Wide Range Hum that where in the 72' thinline tele. Had them made by the Duncan custom shop. Only difference is they are 8k/9k instead of 9k/10k and they are standard size, really like them! Victoria is a Golden Melody. Awsome amp and I've oned a TON of nice amps. Guess it sounds kinda like a Bassman with a reverb unit in front of it. Great trem too!
