Wanting to DIY a Fuzz pedal

I am wanting to build a fuzz pedal that is on muzique.com and I was hoping that one of you guys could help me. I have basic knowledge in electronics and schematics. I have already gotten my board put together but I am not sure how to hook up the pots to the board. Would anyone of you be able to help me out on this?

I've already got the board all together and I believe that it is right, but I really am not too sure about wiring the pots into it. the DPDT should not be a problem though.

Thank You in advance

Out on the pcb goes to lug 3 of volume pot, lug 2 goes to the DPDT, lug 1 goes to ground

X goes to lug 3 of Fuzz pot, lug 2 to Y and lug 1 to ground

Make sure you socket the transistors so you can experiment with different ones. The ones listed on the schem are too high gain for this circuit IMO. I prefer ones that are in the same gain range as the vintage Ge transistors. Check this out:

http://fuzzcentral.ssguitar.com/axisface.php

Also you will want to swap the 8.2 k bias resistor with a 10 or 25k trim pot so you can dial the bias in with precision.

You will also want to socket the input cap since many find the 2.2uF to be ridiculously bass heavy (I prefer .1 uF myself)

Socket the 330 ohm resistor as well as this determines the output volume which was notoriously low on the vintage fuzz faces. 1.2 k is a popular modern value.

Finally you can use a 2k fuzz pot for more gain or you can omit the pot altogether and just use a socketed 1 or 2k resistor (a la joe gagan's easy face). I find the fuzz always sounds best with the fuzz pot dimed so I like this mod alot which allows me to use a pot for something more useful like external bias control.

If you want to save yourself some trouble you can get fuzz face PCB or full kits from BYOC and GGG.

Along the same lines as what fr8_trane posted
http://runoffgroove.com/multiface.html

I made a multiface, it's great for messing around with different transistors/caps etc. You can get some great tones out of it with a bit of experimenting. And some completely evil ones too
