Ok... I am not a name brand guy. Clearly avatar has upped the anty regarding their logo. I like a generic cabinet. How to I get rid of the logo? It's not as easy as it used to be. It is tough as nails now???

Free your mind instead. (Apologies, I don't mean to be rude, I mean only how much simpler you'll make it for yourself by letting go of emotion on the label. It's worth at least a moment of additional consideration.)

If you aren't a name brand guy, why do you care about the name brand on your avatar cab?

If you cant get the logo off easily, you could always cover it with some gaffer's tape.

Absitively. The man makes a great cabinet. The man never steers you wrong. His brand is displayed proudly.

Good luck trying to find a generic cab with similar build quality/price. Logos can be annoying, but I'm with the others on this one... let it ride.

I have some 2x12 traditional cabs that have made it through anything you can name.

After ten years of weekend gigs I am still proud to display the Avatar brand, and the logo is only on a small plate on the older ones. I actually wish they had their "script" logo sooner! it looks great under a Bogner head!

Avatar builds a great cabinet... I have four of them sitting here. I love dealing with Dave and he has done me a favor or two. But the logo is awful... and I would like the new cab to match the old cab (the logo came off that one a long time ago, all on its own). Not really a big deal and... absolutely no intent to dis the company. Besides... we all know an avatar when we see it... logo or not.

You better free your mind instead.

I've got their Vintage 212 cab and LOVE IT, however, I did not like the look of the logo either so I gently got a very small straight screwdriver at one end and started to gently lift all the way around. It ultimately was just glued on. My cab is maybe 3 yrs old.

FWIW, when ordering a cabinet from Dave @ Avatar, he will exclude the logo if you ask. Obviously it doesn't do any good for cabinets you already own, but it is an option if a new cabinet is in your future.

I'm in the "want my rig to look clean" camp and prefer not to have mulitple mfgr. badges on display. I run an unbadged Avatar 1x12 with an Egnater rebel head and cosmetically you can't tell that the cabinet and head are from different makers (even with the "checked" grille cloth the Egnater uses)
