Looking for an overdrive pedal..
Hi,
I'm looking for a good overdrive that would go with my 52' tele and my vox ac15 handwired combo. I would really like something that sounds sorta like a cranked tweed, but for some reason i think a "cranked tweed clone" pedal would be a weird pairing with my ac15. I also like a bit of "graininess" to my overdrive, like the sound of having a fuzz on with your guitar volume backed a bit, but i'm not exactly looking for a fuzz. Any suggestions? Thanks a lot |

OCD.
Can do the grainyness, boost, tweed sound really well through a VOX. It can also sing in that setup too. I wouldn't worry about the tweed thing. The EL 84 Blues Jr. does great with it. |

OCD is a great pedal with that amp....but the Hot Cake is just the ticket for your needs. Great pedal with that set up and my favorite, along with a COT50 with my AC15. The Hot Cake can get distorted or do clean boost, or do medium gain. It's an outstanding pedal!

I second the Crowther Audio HotCake.

I already have an Ibanez ts808 Reissue that i use, will it be much of a difference between the ts808 and the Hot Cake or OCD??

I have a vintage AC30 and I recommend the T Rex Mudhoney
