boosting after cranked compressor?

I use an always on Visual Sound Compressor (Rt. 66) with all my drive pedals before it, but now I need a volume boost for leads that aren't Treble Boosted Sounds. However, I hesitate because the Overdrive Side of the 66 sounds farty even with the gain low and the volume high, after the compressor. Like a bad fuzz.

Would you guys suggest a Clean Boost or a Light Overdrive to go after the compressor for volume boosts/solos etc... I don't want to saturate the input of the pedal either, maybe something with an input trim control?

I was thinking of checking out both the RC and the Pure Drive as candidates, but I was unsure of what Clean Boosts to look at.

Please No TS Pedals or Uber-Boutique suggestions (BJFE, Toneczar...) It must be readily available in the new and/or used market.

Seems like a potential recipie for a lot of extra loud hiss but the BBE Boosta Grande should do exactly what you ask.

you would think... but the VS comp is very quiet, and the Comp 66 that i'll be moving to even has noise reduction. My only noise issues are my L6 pedals, and that will be fixed when i move to an isolate power supply.

Thanks for the suggestion, i had forgotten about the BBE, i have quite a few of those pedals.

One stipulation i forgot about, the smaller the better.

This may be more outside the box than your wanting to go? I've been running a cot50 then my compressor always on, then dirt, modulation. Using the cot50 for the boost on leads

other suggestions? I tried using my AC Booster after the compressor to boost for leads and it was just out of control.
