Need suggestions for a Strat replacement neck.
Really would like to keep the price below $100. Are the Mighty Mite ones decent? Would a used MIM Strat neck be a good option?

I used a few Mighty Might necks on some project guitars and they were OK for the money. They both needed a bit of extra help as far as cleaning up the fret ends but they both worked and played fine. I'd think for a few bucks more you could find a Warmoth neck.

I'd suggest Allparts for cheaper replacements. Though they run about $115 unfinished.

Whichever you choose, a pro fret dressing will make it right. The idea of "top shelf fret work out of the box" is pretty much a dream unless you're talking a one-man shop type arrangement. Most of the big suppliers will provide you a decent, playable neck, but the money spent on a pro fret dressing is usually the smartest money!

I just went ahead and picked up a Mghty Mite with a compound radius last night. This seller claims to inspect them before shipping and files down any rough fret ends if there are any. |
