My New CP Thornton Blues Queen!

I know that Chuck Thornton's guitars being crafted in Maine are no strangers to this forum but I had to post a link to photos of my new Blues Queen that I picked up just before Christmas!
http://www.cpthorntonguitars.com/gal...een%20Tobacco/
I live in Canada but just a 1 hour drive to the Maine border and then a couple of hours to Chuck's shop. It was a real treat to pick the guitar up, spend a couple of hours with Chuck touring his shop and playing guitars! This guy is a true gentleman and his enthusiasm for building fine instruments is obvious in the first 5 minutes of talking.
I have to admit that it wasn't easy to resist following the herd and buying yet another guitar from one of the big name brands. In doing so however what I have ended up with is a spectacular instrument that looks, plays and sounds like no other guitar I have ever owned before and purchased it from a craftsman whose life's ambition seems to be to make sure I am happy with it. How can you go wrong!
There is one negative though. I thought that if I bought one of Chuck's guitars that it would satisfy my GAS. Wrong! Now I want a Fusion...and an Elite... and a....
PS: thanks to the other members of this forum that I consulted with prior to ordering my Blues Queen. Your advice and enthusiasm for these fine guitars was much appreciated.

Man, that is one SWEET looking guitar! Is it solid or chambered? Either way, bet it sounds great. Unusual but cool neck joint BTW.

It is hollow with a neck thru design, unique to CP Thornton. The Fralin P90's sound incredible and yes the neck is really comfortable with great access above the 12th fret. I believe Chuck has a patent on the design.
I'm really happy with it!

That is a beautiful guitar! I'd love to hear some sound clips of that. I should also get another job!

Congrats, Ampholic!
Nice interview, nice reviews, particularly of the Blues Queen. I was interested in his guitars before; this has only enhanced that.

And check out the video clips on the Thornton website. The guy playing is Denny Breau-Lenny's brother.
Although born in Canada Lenny & Denny grew up just a few minutes away from Chuck's shop.
Some fine, fine guitar playing from Denny. If only I could make my Blues Queen sound like that!
