Replacement Bridge Options for a MIM 6 saddle Tele?
What's a good bridge to upgrade my 6 saddle MIM Tele too? Love this guitar but hear the bridge is crap...should I go to a standard 3 brass saddle bridge?

IMHO, yes if you want the classic tele sound.
I put on a glendale 3-saddle bridge and it was great. Intonated perfectly, and had tons of spank, and snarl like a good tele should. |

This thing sounds unbelievably good totally stock, it's 12 yrs old, ash/maple. I'm just wondering how much better can it get ya know. The Glendale stuff is too pricey for me. What are some affordable option for 3 brass saddle, compensated bridges? Anyone know what Grosh uses on his RC "T"'s? Gotoh on the S's, his specs don't really state on the Tele bridge.

Ok, I'm thinking about just getting a cheap (Fender) steel 3 screw baseplate and upgrading the saddles. Does anyone know for sure if the 6 screw MIM bridge saddles are ss or aluminum? SS & Aluminum are brighter than Brass right?
So which saddles? Callaham Slanted, $37 ![]() vs. Callaham Compensated, $37 ![]() vs. "Exclusive" RS Compensated? (Isn't these just Allparts stuff...), $10

Or for $30?
GuitarFetish Wilkinson Compensated Bridge. Although I don't see the holes, the description says good for string-thru or top mount. Any good for $30?
Is there a general preference to angled vs. these type of compensated brass saddles? The Wilkinson saddles don't have the same mass, and isn't the whole 3 brass saddle thing based on the 2 string per saddle and all that. So wouldn't mass be an issue. http://store.guitarfetish.com/wicotebrbrsa.html |
