Headphones for a Tonelab LE
I am currently using Sennheiser HD201's but feel like I could do better. I get some unnatural distortion in the high end sometimes. I poked around and saw that they are rated for having >0.7 harmonic distortion.
I saw the Sen HD 280 has 0.1 harm distortion but the Sen HD515 and Sony MDR-7506 look promising too. I am trying to keep this under $110. What are you using? Opinions? |

Don't count on the phones to improve the distortion you hear based on specs.
Try before you buy with your gear at your listening levels.

I never use phones with mine, because it doesn't help me make a sound that sounds good through a system. Tweak with headphones, plug into the house... sounds bad. Plug into the house and tweak... success...
BUT... I like my AKG k240s.
