Lightbulb Joćo Bosco -Incredible Song/Sweet Tele Solo (who's the soloist BTW?)

Does anybody know who the guy playing the Tele Solo is
about 4 minutes in to it ....?

YouTube - Joćo Bosco - Odilź Odilį

Lee Ritenour said about this song, after having performed it with Joao Bosco, that"Joao Bosco was one of those unique guitarist-singer combinatons that's able to play complex rhythmic patterns and sing counterpoint lyrics at the same time.

The guitar player is Nelson Faria, a highly regarded brazilian guitarrist. Together with the bass player and the awesome drummer, Kiko Freitas, they have a brazilian/modern jazz trio, the Nosso Trio. Check this song out: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eyGif0t-u1Q

why don't you just send ALL your amazing cross genre finds directly to me via emails so I don't have to even bother coming on here and wading through the RF / LC / JM threads?

Loved it !!!

Do you know when duh gubment is going to stop spending billions on useless space travel and bombs and instead spend it to develop a vibrational mind transfer mechanism to override the female part of the brain that only likes one or two kinds of music, and hates long guitar solos, and transfer advanced musical appreciation DNA structures from a buddy that appropriately likes 5000 different kinds of guitar music?

I'm just REAL tired of looking through my CD collection and nixing 90% of it when my lady is here! ..........

Hahahaha - It's true.
Why are women only capable to listen to 4 minutes long songs, and with a INTRO-A-B-Chorus-B-Chorus structure?

Anyway, just to keep this post more informative, check this other tune of Nosso Trio- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ca-93teDPC8

I mixed a project that the trio played on a few years back. Great players!

Hey, there are some names in this list that I didn't know of. Thanks!

And Armandinho is one of my favorites. His father actually created one of the first solid body string instrument (called "pau-elétrico" or "eletric-stick" - sorta-). There's no way to know for sure if who did it first, really, but it was way before Fenders became into production.

Anyway, urban legend or not, the guy is really a pioneer, as his family is, in brazilian music. The only drawback is his eletrci tone - he just loves Boss stuff through a Jazz Chorus.

THANK you so much!

one truly wonderful thing about TGP is people sharing their wealth of knowledge of beautiful and inspiring musicians here!

I love Bola Sete, Flora Purim, Gismonti ... and the old timers like Gilberto, Baden Powell, etc
recently turned on (on MANY levels..) .. to Badi Assad
