Question Buzzing 4x12 handles...

Howdy. I have a Marshall 1960BV cab with the plastic recessed bar handles. The bar pipe/handle seems to buzz honk vibrate in a *very* annoying manner on certain frequencies. Is there anything worthwhile I can do to stop this? It sounds like a blown out of tune speaker.

If not, can I directly replace them with the metal recessed handles Marshall is now putting on their handwired cabinets? I'd prefer to *not* have to cut the cab walls if at all possible.

Anybody else have to deal with this? Jim?

Thanks

Dave

Gorilla Glue or silicone RTV the "grab bar" handle to the outer housing---i have a 1960AX cab that had a terrific handle buzz on certain freq's----- took a while before i found out it was the handles buzzing---- i had no idea that handles could buzz this loud.
How do you know for sure that replacement metal handles wouldn't vibrate/buzz in a similar manner and you'd end up going the Gorilla Glue/RTV route anyway.........gldtp99

This may look ugly but I had same issue with a Randall Isolation cab. I just put duct tape all over the handle and the buzz rattling went away

the metal handles are welded - the grip part cant move. Thats what buzzes on mine at any rate. Anyhow, I'll see if I can RTV or epoxy the SOB into submission before I replace it.
