Some kind of tubescreamer

Hi Guys

I am looking for some kind of tubescreamer. Something with a mid-hump! The guitar is a midrange instrument, and I find with all my fancy boutique pedals, I sometimes miss just being able to cut right through the mix!

What are some of the best tubescreamer-like pedals out there? I had a white 06 eternity, which was cool, but perhaps a little bit too much gain. Should I try another E?

I hope for some input guys

Try a Maxon OD9 with Analogman 808 Silver mod. It's still got the mid hump, but it's incredibly smooth.

My friend, this is my area! Two pedals will do it for you! Just get a reissue TS-9 or a Blues Devil by MJM. It will do the trick!

Cheers,

Mike

The trex alberta is a killer tubescreamer.
It knocked the mjm blues devil right off my board.
It also knocked the tim off the board but lets just keep that private.

I have a couple of Analogman modded Tubescreamers and they're great, but the Fulldrive II is still my favorite pedal for that sound.

My favorite is my Keeley TS808. I have a VS Jekyll & Hyde that was my favorite until I discovered the Keeley. The Maxon OD808 is great as well. I like it much more than the TS808 RI.

Lotsa' good mentions here,

hmm, mid hump, i've heard the older versions of the Menatone Red Snapper is the poor man's version of the Klon. Needless to say, the king of the mid hump is the Klon

I´ve had dozens of different TS related pedals and I´ve ended up with - a TS9. I modded mine with the Monte Allums mod kit but I think that you dont really need to mod a TS9 if you like the way it sounds.
