It appears that we're learning Blues form, then how to deal with that, and then learning 32 Bar form, and how to deal with that.

For my money, I think I'd rather see a lesson - after the basics - on Forms in general. 8, 12, 16 bar blues, and 32 bar song form and how they all relate.

*then* move on to embellishing progressions, creating good solo lines, etc.

But who am I to argue with the Duke!

You'll post the link when it's ready, I assume :-)

Cheers,
Steve
Hi Steve --- great suggestion, I will talk with Duke about adding this. We're recording this coming Tuesday / Wed --- and I'll let you know where we ended up.

More Detail!!!

Mike...Sorry...thyis might be off this particular subject somewhat. I have bought some of Duke's tribute blues lessons...BB, Albert, Freddy etc and really enjoy Duke's technique. He is a great player. I am not an advanced player and that might be my problem. What would have helped me more in his lessons would be more "how to" detail in playing these particular styles. It seems more of a demonstration to me than a lesson. I realize that the lesson time is short and the cost is extremely reasonable, however I would pay more $$ if the lesson was more detailed thus longer. Just mt thoughts!
