Custom strat help

I don't post very often, I am trying to get caught up by reading a lot of the old posts. I am in the process of putting together my own custom strat. I have it almost totally finished but I have run into a problem that I thought I would ask some advice.

I got my hands on a 50th anniversary strat neck that I threw on my Squier strat, but it didn't fit. So I got my hands on a really nice MIM Alder body with a flamed top and a nice sunburst finish. Anyway the neck fits fine and I got the pickups and bridge installed. My question is about the input jack. I took the jack off my squire and it did not fit right, so i ordered a fender input jack.

I noticed the jack cavity on the squire has a hole bored out to accomodate the jack ring/tip etc. Will I have to drill out the cavity on the MIM body to make the jack fit?
